From September 7th to 8th 2025, Mr. You Xihuo, Chairman of Zhongnong Huawei, led a delegation to Lanzhou upon invitation to participate in the kick-off meeting of the “International Training Course on Detection Technologies for Major Transboundary Animal Diseases,” hosted by the Lanzhou Veterinary Research Institute of the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences. The meeting brought together veterinary experts from multiple Asian and African countries, establishing a high-level platform for communication to enhance international cooperation in transboundary animal disease prevention and control.
During the meeting, Chairman You Xihuo and his team held multiple talks with representatives from veterinary research institutes and universities in countries including Thailand, Malaysia, Pakistan, Uzbekistan, Ethiopia, Mongolia, and Egypt. Both parties engaged in in-depth discussions regarding the current status and challenges of echinococcosis (hydatid disease) prevention and control. Zhongnong Huawei shared China’s systematic control strategies and significant achievements in this field, which received high recognition from the foreign experts.
In a thematic report delivered during the training course kick-off meeting, He Qinyi, Director of the International Cooperation Department at Zhongnong Huawei, systematically elaborated on the strategies and technical pathways for comprehensive echinococcosis control in China’s western pastoral areas to the attending international experts and scholars. He specifically highlighted the practical application outcomes of the “China Echinococcosis Prevention and Control Strategy.” He also comprehensively presented the company’s integrated IoT-based intelligent prevention and control system in this field, encompassing core products and technologies such as new preventive and therapeutic drugs, rapid diagnostic reagents, an echinococcosis management cloud platform, an intelligent self-service deworming dispenser, and smart pillboxes. This system has been designated as a single-source procurement product by ministries including the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs and the National Health Commission, and has been promoted and applied as the “China Solution” in multiple countries and regions along the “Belt and Road.”
This international exchange activity further deepened the mutual trust and cooperation between Zhongnong Huawei and international peers in the field of echinococcosis prevention and control, creating broad prospects for future, more diversified and in-depth collaboration. It also laid a solid foundation for the further promotion and implementation of the “China Solution” in Asia and Africa.
