【Clinical Application】
Doxycycline is a broad-spectrum antibiotic. Clinically, it can be used to treat the following infections in chickens caused by Gram-positive bacteria, Gram-negative bacteria, and Mycoplasma:
- Chronic respiratory disease (CRD) in poultry caused by *Mycoplasma gallisepticum*, presenting symptoms such as rales, sneezing, wheezing, and dyspnea.
- Omphalitis, perihepatitis, airsacculitis, pericarditis, salpingitis, and yolk peritonitis caused by Escherichia coliand Mycoplasma synoviae.
- Pullorum disease, fowl typhoid, and enteritis caused by Salmonella.
